Dr Emmanuel Ponzevera, Ifremer
I am a research engineer in charge of the MC-ICP-MS Neptune facility at Ifremer since 2007. I started working on He isotopes in oceanographic and polar ice samples in 1996 as engineer student (PI: Philippe Jean-Baptiste/Jean Jouzel; LSCE, CEA/CNRS, Paris, France), then was hired at Thermo as Service Engineer to install and repair ICPMS and TIMS instruments across Europe. I completed my PhD work on isotope standards certification in 2008 (PI: Christophe Quétel; IRMM, Geel, Belgium) then moved to Ifremer. I had the opportunity to spend a sabbatical leave in USA in 2012 to set up analytical methods for trace element and isotope geochemistry (PI:Steven Goldstein; LDEO, Columbia University, New York, USA). |
