Lecturers > Planquette HélèneDr Hélène Planquette, CNRS/LEMAR, France
Dr Hélène Planquette is a marine biogeochemist whose research focuses on the biogeochemical cycles of trace metals. She completed her PhD at the National Oceanography Centre (UK). She was then a postdoc at Rutgers (U.SA.) and at NOC, before taking a position at CNRS. She is particularly interested in the role of particles on the biogeochemical cycles of iron and manganese. Her approach is based on many samples collected in different regions of the world oceans (Southern Ocean, North Atlantic, Arctic) and on laboratory experiments during which she conducts dissolution experiments of marine particles. She is a member of the GEOTRACES Standard & Intercalibration Committee. |
