Dr Géraldine Sarthou, LEMAR, France

Géraldine Sarthou is a senior research scientist at LEMAR. She is a biogeochemist and her research interests include the quantification of the sources and sinks of trace metals (mainly Fe, Cu and Mn) and the interactions between these metals and the food web. Her work is based on analytical development of new trace metal technics, observations in many regions of the world oceans and process studies in the laboratory with phytoplankton model species.
